Vision 2.0 is a desktop music environment for the Macintosh. It gives you the ability to record, edit, and play back your music, which it stores as MIDI sequences. You can easily arrange sequences in any order to create songs, edit your performances, and print them in standard notation.
This is the second major release of Vision. We have changed its look, rewritten the manuals, and made the entire environment easier to learn and understand. We have also added a Notation window, so you can view and print your performances in standard music notation, as well as many other new features.
In order to use the demo, you must have already installed OMS. An OMS disk should have been supplied with the Vision Demo disk; if it wasn't, contact Opcode or your dealer.
This demo version does not SAVE or PRINT, but you can record, play, edit, try out and browse many of Vision's musical features.
1) Install OMS first - follow the directions on the OMS disk.
2) Install the Vision demo - installation instructions are in Chapter 2 of this on-line document.
If you have any problems during installation, turn off your system extensions by restarting your Macintosh while holding down the shift key, and make sure you have enough hard disk space to accomodate all Vision files.
USER DEMO TIP!!! ΓÇöOn-Line HelpΓÇö
Hold the Command-Option-Shift keys down at the same time and the cursor will become a "?" (question mark), click on anything to get "pop-up" help, or choose any menu item with this cursor to get help. Keyboard commands are located in the help menu.

Navigating This Document
This document is divided into chapters. Each chapter discusses a different topic. If a chapter contains too much text to fit within a single window, use the vertical scroll bar at the right of the window to scroll down through the text.
You can open different chapters by selecting them from the Contents menu or by using the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window. Alternately, you can choose Contents>Table of Contents to open a window that displays chapter titles. Double-click a chapter title in the Table Of Contents window to jump to that chapter.
Viewing This Document
If you're using a color monitor, you'll notice the use of magenta, blue and red text in this document. The following discusses the significance of each color:
ΓÇó magenta text: indicates chapter titles
ΓÇó blue text: indicates headings and sub-headings
ΓÇó red, bold text: used in text bodies to indicate menus, commands, buttons or other elements of the program.
Printing This Document
To print this document, select File>Print. You'll see a dialog box asking you to select those chapters you'd like to print. Click the OK button to print all highlighted chapters. If you wish to print all the chapters in this document, click the Print All button.
